I find it a little absurd that banks are taking private jets full of clients on golfing trips and entertaining them with private concerts by Sheryl Crow, Earth Wind and Fire and Chicago while 10's of thousands of children die of preventable causes.

The tragedy is that it is preventable and we do nothing about it. The artists playing for hefty sums should be ashamed of themselves.
It is too harsh to expect everyone to carry the weight of the world. how can we criticize governments for not stepping up to the plate when we ourselves live like royalty and offer small amounts of what we have to appease our conscience.
I am not saying that the governments should not shoulder the responsibility even more but should we not examine ourselves as well.
There is no doubt that regardless of how one feels about the relationship of Arts and Social justice, this entire quagmar is utterly ridiculous and someone, no everyone should be screaming bloody murder.
